Robyn Joanne Scharoun

Robyn Joanne Klink Scharoun, 95 of Syracuse, passed away on July 21, 2026. 

Robyn was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Baird) Klink. She was a graduate of Liverpool High School. She received her Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Oswego State Teachers College and her Master’s degree from Hofstra University. Robyn was employed as a kindergarten teacher in the Elmont School district, Fayetteville-Manlius School district and retired from teaching with the La Fayette School District in 1993. Robyn was a long-time active member of Atonement Lutheran Church where she was a Crafty Lady, a Monday Money Counter, and a former council member. She enjoyed quilting, weekends with her family at the family camp on Hickory Lake and eating chocolate any chance she could get.

Robyn is survived by her sons, Andrew (Stephanie) Scharoun, and Peter (Maureen) Scharoun; grandsons Keegan and Casey Scharoun; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Charles in 2011.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life event for a future date yet to be determined. Memorial contributions may be made to Atonement Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 116 West Glen Avenue; Syracuse NY 13205. Arrangements are being handled by Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home with internment in Assumption Cemetery.
