Ruth E. Johnson

Ruth E. Johnson, 92, of Jamesville, passed away with family by her side at St. Camillus Skilled Nursing and Short Term Rehab. She graduated from Central High School. Ruth retired from John Hancock after 39 years.

She is predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Grace (McComber) Johnson; brothers, William Johnson Sr., Edward Johnson and Howard Johnson; sisters, Joyce Hinkle and Rita Grover; brother in law, Robert Hinkle Sr.

Ruth is survived by her sister, Penny (John) Keeler, of Jamesville; brother, Lee Johnson, of Florida; sister in law, Lois Johnson; brother in law, Thomas Grover Sr.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling Hours will be Tuesday, July 21, 2026 from 4-6 PM at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Syracuse, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 22, 2026 11AM at Our Lady of Hope Church, 4845 S Salina St, Syracuse, NY 13205. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Dewitt, NY.

Contributions in lieu of Flowers may be made to Our Lady of Hope Church.
