JAMES ALAN MARTIN

James Alan Martin, known to family and friends as Jim or Jimmy, passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2026 at the Atherton Park Post Acute in Menlo Park CA at the age of 68. 

Born on August 27,1958 in Ukiah CA to James and Shirley Martin. Jim was a lifelong Northern CA resident who worked at Johnny’s Market before becoming a journeyman electrician at Masonite Mill in Ukiah and later Redwood Empire Mill in Cloverdale CA. 

Jim was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing baseball, bowling in local leagues and spending time at the local racetracks supporting his brother Mike’s racing endeavors. Whether spending time at the ballpark, the bowling alley or the racetracks, Jim valued camaraderie and the friendships he built through the activities he loved.

He is survived by his daughter Amy Martin, two beloved grandchildren, brother Mike Martin, sister-in-law Patty Martin, 2 nephews Jared Martin and his wife Sienna and Cody Martin, and three great niece & nephews.

In accordance with Jim’s wishes no memorial services will be held.
