Susan Bilgor Peliks
Sep 7, 1945 — May 24, 2026
Susan Bilgor Peliks, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away due to septic shock on May 24, 2026, at the age of 80, in San Francisco, CA.
Born in Providence, RI, Susan lived adventurously across the East Coast and South America before settling in San Francisco, the city she loved most. According to her husband, Gerald, no matter where they lived, Susan always created a home. She learned new languages, made lifelong friends, collected art, and mastered local cuisines.
Susan was driven and resourceful, with boundless energy to master her various passions. She enjoyed her career as an interior designer with clients across the United States, working on substantial projects until her final days. She was the ultimate extrovert and enjoyed her mystery book club, as well as planning, organizing, and self-catering her parties (including her own 80th birthday party). Susan expressed her love through food and cooking, which explains why everyone loved her. She was an eternal optimist, often turning difficult situations into opportunities to create lifetime friendships. She was a confidant for many - the person you reached out to when you needed advice or just wanted someone to listen. Susan preferred her flip phone to any modern technology - and somehow managed to stay closer to more people than anyone.
Susan transitioned with her immediate family present, while listening to stories of her wonderful life.
She is survived by her husband Gerald; her son Naldo and his wife Liliana, and their daughters Hannah and Noa; and her son Beto and his wife Jasmine, and their daughter Harper.
