Alan John Ahlfeld age 83 passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026 at 5 p.m. with his loving wife by his side at YourLife Memory Care Facility, West Melbourne FL. He was predeceased by his loving parents, William and Doris Ahlfeld, and his brother Billy Carl Ahlfeld. Alan is survived by and sorely missed by his wife Jan Ahlfeld. Alan was the father of his son Brian Ahlfeld and loving grandpa to his two grandchildren Hunter and Bailey Ahlfeld, all who are living in Tucson, AZ. Alan is also survived by his cousin Bill and spouse Irmgard Macchi, Lady Lake, FL, brother-in-law John Epperson and spouse Teresa and children Daniel & Rachel, Indian Harbour Beach, FL along with many brothers/sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews in other states. Alan was godparent to his goddaughters Amie Rebecca Zimmerman and niece Marianne Ahlfeld Bennett and delighted in visits from his great niece and nephew, Teegan and Paxton. Alan was born June 18, 1942 in Bayonne, NJ and spent his early years in Hackettstown, NJ. On June 30, 1984 Alan married Jan Epperson, changing life forever. After retiring from AT&T, Alan began a new career by following his dream of building homes. In 1998 Alan and Jan moved to FL and in 2003 moved to Satellite Beach, FL completing his last house renovation. For 20 years Alan enjoyed taking many trips on his boat, Sagacious. However, his favorite excursions were to Exuma, Bahamas. Friends and Family will be received at Beach Funeral Homes – East, 1689 S Patrick Dr. Satellite Beach, FL 32937, Monday February 16, 2026. Visitation from 11 am to Noon and Celebration from Noon to 1 p.m. A Celebration of life webcasting link will be made available for those unable to attend in person. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Alan to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research
