Ernest A."Ernie" Muro, Sr., 80, of Satellite Beach, died, Thursday, April 8, 2010. He was born and raised in Norwalk, CT. Ernie was stationed for 28 years at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He moved to Satellite Beach 33 years ago. Ernie was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was a 4th degree knight in Knights of Columbus. He was a member of Saint Vincent DePaul Society and Brevard Flute Orchestra; volunteer for South Brevard Sharing Center and the Resurrection Thrift Shop, and Assistant Coach for sons baseball and football teams.
Ernie is survived by his wife of 42 years Tina; daughters, Charlene (S. Aftab) Ahmed of Virginia, and Jean Marie (Jim) Graham of Deland, FL; sons, Gregory (Carol) Muro of Melbourne, and Christopher (Sarah) Muro of Palm Bay, FL; grandchildren, Brian, Jeffrey, Freddy, Chloe, Isabella, Katalina, and Gianna. Ernie was preceded in death by his son, Ernie Jr and brother Joseph.
Visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Melbourne Beach from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be held at Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell, Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with full military honors.
