James Lawrence King, passed away on August 2, 2011 at age 63 from A.L.S. peacefully with his family by his side. Born on October 18, 1947 to Agnes and Alan King. He grew up on Long Island, NY. He worked 17 years as Director of Software Development at Harris Publishing and later was a computer repairs and handy man in the area.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lynda; three loving children, Elizabeth King, Michael (Amy) King, and Alison (Mark) Kaplan; five wonderful grandchildren, Alexis, Jacob, Luke, Cody King; and Logan James Kaplan; brothers and sisters, Margaret (Jack) Downey, William (Irene) King; Susan (Frank) Mackey, Jeannie (Phil) Gianfortune, John King and Agnes (Chris) Grey; he was one of 10 children. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Kelly; and Thomas King.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 5, 2011 from 6-8:00 p.m, at Beach Funeral Home, Melbourne/Suntree. Service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Beach Funeral Home, 4999 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne/Suntree.
The family suggests donations to the A.L.S. Foundation in Orlando, FL in James' name.
