Joan A. Hart

Joan A Hart, Retired Registered Nurse, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

Joan and Bob Hart moved to Satellite Beach from Hauppauge, Long Island, New York in 1975. She was pre-deceased by Bob, her husband of 60 years and by her grandson, Josh Brown.

Joan was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Her nursing career spanned four decades. She and Bob were School Crossing Guards at Surfside Elementary School. Joan was also a Health First Hospice volunteer.

She is survived by four children: Nancy Ragland, Bob Hart, Tom Hart, and Julie Brown (Rick). She is also survived by five grandchildren: Christopher, Joanna, Jason (Elma), Riley and Gabriel; two great-grandchildren: Bryce and Ella; and sisters-in-law: Jill Craig, Jane Hart and Carole McCallion … along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be in the Chapel at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic, FL on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 10:30 am, to be followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 am.

After the Mass, there will be a private interment at the Memorial Garden at Riverside Presbyterian Church in Cocoa Beach.

This will be followed by a Celebration of Joan’s life at Rusty’s Seafood & Oyster Bar at Port Canaveral from 1:30 - 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Shriners Children’s or to Hospice of Health First.
