June Lillian "Cassel" Stegner

June Lillian “Cassel” Stegner, Loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother passed on the 6th of August 2026. She was born on the 26th of June 1937, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. June graduated from Bensalem High School, where she was voted Best Dressed and Queen of the Senior Prom. She worked at Stegner’s Bakery where she met her true love William “Bill” Stegner who served in the United States Navy. On the 4th of February 1956, June Lillian Cassel married Bill, and they shared 63 beautiful years together; Bill proceeded her in death on the 4th of July 2019. They were blessed with 4 Children. William Joseph, twins: Linda Leona and Joseph Thomas and later Tara Renee. Sadly, William Joseph passed in September 2009. Her children bestowed upon her 10 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. June also had a brother, Joseph Thomas Cassel, who passed away in July 2020. June was a wonderful Mother and Home maker to their four children while Bill served in the United States Navy from July 1957 to February 1971. After Bill retired from the military June was then employed with Sears, Roebuck and Company as a Switchboard Operator and then JCPenney as a Decorator Consultant. Before and after her retirement, June enjoyed many hobbies. Among her long list of favorites were: crocheting, ceramics, spending time at the beach and enjoying many water activities with family, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, and shopping. June never strayed far from her love for her children and grandchildren. June shared many wonderful stories of her days growing up in Trevose, Pennsylvania, family and friends told her she should write a book. She was beautiful inside and out and always made sure she looked stunning every day. She will be laid to rest in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in her name to Faith "Viera” Lutheran Church, Rockledge, Florida.
