Lawrence "Larry" Elliott Mims, 39, was called home on December 27, 2019. Larry was born November 6, 1980 in Stuart, Florida.
Larry grew up in Fort Pierce, Florida and attended Lincoln Park Academy High School and Indian River Community College. In 2002 he moved with his family to West Melbourne. His first job assisting with commercial electric installation inspired him to pursue a path to become a commercial electrician. Through his career he worked on several large projects throughout Orlando and Brevard County. He was currently employed be Chrome Electric and working on the new cruise terminal.
He loved surfing, skateboarding and spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Florida Gators fan and enjoyed working on his truck. He was loved by all who knew him and had the biggest heart with the sweetest soul. He will be greatly missed.
Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents Harry A. Hanewacker, William Elliott Mims, and Mary DeBerry Mims. Larry is survived by his parents Glinda Gail (Hanewacker) Mims and Charles Robert Mims; his grandmother Elise Maples Hanewacker. He leaves his children, Laraih Shumate Mims and Lawson Charles Mims; sister. Diana Mims-Reid; brother in law Ryan Reid; niece Shannon Reid.
