Lois Ann Farina

Lois Farina, 90, went to be with our Lord on August 22, 2026. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Lois was the youngest of three sisters, born in Brooklyn, NY on September 21, 1935. After graduating from high school, she worked as a switchboard operator in NY. In 1951, she met the love of her life, Bill, who had just enlisted in the Navy. After four years of service, Bill and Lois were married in October 1955.

In NY, the newlyweds started their family, welcoming son Billy in 1956. In 1958, they built their first home in Florida on the sands of South Patrick Shores, and, in 1960, daughter Donna completed their family.

Lois volunteered and served the community in numerous ways throughout the years. She and Bill were founding parishioners of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic; she was active in a number of the parishes early ministries, including the first Woman’s Guild. She was an elementary school clinic gray lady, Girl Scout leader, Club Scout den mom, Platinum Coast Little League team mom, a proud charter member of the local Italian-American club, a thirteen-year Volunteer at The King Center for the Performing Arts, and a Daily Bread Volunteer for 4 years.

Her hobbies included cooking and baking, sewing, bowling, traveling, casino fun, reading avidly, crossword challenges and puzzling, card games and Bingo. Oh, and she enjoyed the romance of her predictable Hallmark movies, anticipating that Love always wins in the end!

In 1971, Lois and Bill partnered with dear friends, Pat and Ron Tase, and purchased The Old Fisherman’s Wharf in Cocoa Beach, enjoying being restaurateurs, the partners later also owned and operated The Land & Sea Restaurant and The Cove Lounge in Satellite Beach for several years. In 2001, after thirty years and too many loyal local patrons and tourist guests to count, they hung up their aprons and began a long and happy retirement together.

Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, C.W, “Bill”; loving parents Jean and Louis Spinelli; sisters Rae Hamm and Virginia Addeo. She is survived by her son, Bill Farina and his wife Cathy: daughters Donna Farina Anderson and her husband Bob; granddaughters, Jennifer Turner Lopez and Laura Farina Riley and great grandchildren, Everett William Riley, Allison Elizabeth Riley, and William Anthony Farina II.

A funeral mass will take place on Monday, October 5th, 2026, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic. Visitation will start at 10:30am, mass at 11:00am. Following mass will be a burial at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge at 1:00pm.
