Nancie Kaercher, 84, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends.
Born on September 24, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, Nancie was the beloved daughter of Henry and Zena Chyles. She shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Geoffrey "Jeff" Kaercher. Together they built a loving family and created countless cherished memories over the years.
Nancie was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a caring aunt, and a loyal friend. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured every moment spent with those she loved and was happiest when surrounded by them. Inspired by her life living on Tortoise Island, Nancie enjoyed collecting sea turtle keepsakes and cherished the beauty and peaceful nature they represented.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Geoffrey Kaercher; her son, Michael Kaercher; her parents, Henry and Zena Chyles; and her sisters, Gwen and Beverly.
Nancie is lovingly remembered by her sons, Steven Kaercher and Eric Kaercher; Steven’s wife, Donna, her granddaughter, Sarah Kaercher; her step-grandchildren, Nicholas Witherspoon and Gabrielle Witherspoon; her dear sisters-in-law and cherished friends, Adele Neubauer and Phyllis Hrlic; as well as her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives were enriched by her love and kindness.
Those who knew Nancie will remember her quiet spirit, steadfast loyalty, and deep love for her family. Those fortunate enough to know her understood the depth of her caring heart. She lived a life marked by resilience, unwavering devotion to those she loved, and a quiet strength that spoke louder than words.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and in the love that will forever bind them together.
May she rest in eternal peace.
