Walter Anthony Brocato

Lt. Col. (Ret) Walter A. Brocato, 89, of Satellite Beach, Florida passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010. He was born and raised in Lawrence, Mass. He was a command pilot in the United States Air Force and honorably served his country for 37 years. Walter was a member of the Satellite Beach United Methodist Church, and many other organizations including; Brevard County Civilian Military Community Relations Council, Inc., The Air Force Association, The Retired-Officers Association, Order of Daedalians, Missile Space and Range Pioneers and Quiet Birdmen. He was a sports car enthusiast, and an avid reader. Walter was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an explorer, "always has been and always will be". He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Peggyanne; daughters, Suzanne (Richard) Underwood of St. Charles, MO, Candace B. Carlson of Ft. Myers, FL, Sherri (Erin) O'Boyle of Las Vegas, NV; nephew, Walter (Lil) Hemmerling of Portland, ME; grandchildren, Scott (Jodi), Tina, Joy (Bryan), and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Rylan, Leo, Hayden, Jason and Kaitlyn. Funeral service will be held Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 3:00 p.m., at Satellite Beach United Methodist Church. Interment with full military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in the spring of 2011.
