Barry Plans

Barry Plans, 81, of Cocoa Beach, Florida, has gone to be with the Lord after a long struggle of putting up with all of us on July 13th, 2026.

From growing up in New York to eventually making his home in Florida, with plenty of adventures and people met along the way, Barry lived a full and meaningful life. In turn, he enriched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was a man who loved his country, proudly serving in the United States military before later working for the U.S. Department of Transportation.

This grumpy, lovable old man will be deeply missed by his daughter, Vicky Barkley; his grandchildren, Bailey and Shyler; and his loving companion, Jennifer. We take comfort in knowing that his wife, Regina, his grandson, Cameron, and his beloved cat, Garfield, were there to welcome him home.

A service to celebrate Barry’s life will be held at a later date. We welcome anyone who knew and loved him to join us as we say our final farewell.

Time may keep moving, but it’ll never move beyond him.
