Dr. Robert "Bob" Edward Lehton
Oct 30, 1948 — Jul 24, 2026
Remembering Robert Edward Lehton, a lover of God the Father, His son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
The Cocoa Beach community is mourning the loss of Robert Edward "Bob" Lehton who passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the age of 77. Bob was a man whose life was defined by service and leadership.
Bob was a teacher and counselor of the Scriptures, inspiring many people to follow Jesus. Bob thoroughly enjoyed studying the Word of God.
A clinical psychologist by profession, Bob spent his career devoted to the mental health and well-being of those he served. Beyond his practice, he was an accomplished surfer, sailor, and pilot—someone as much at home in the water and the air as he was in his office.
Bob was a devoted Torah student and enjoyed serving on the board at Seed of Abraham Fellowship in Merritt Island, Florida.
It was his passion for helping others that led him to found Servant Air Ministries and Crosswinds Youth Services, two organizations through which countless individuals in the community found support. Bob believed the true measure of a life well-lived was found in service to others, and he carried that belief into everything he did—whether coaching his children’s baseball teams or volunteering around the community.
A devoted father, Bob led by example, showing his family and everyone around him what generosity and commitment look like in practice.
He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Amy Gellert, and his sister, Jeni Bridwell. He is survived by his wife, Bunny Lehton; his three sons, Jason Lehton, Mark Gellert, Ryan Gellert and their spouses; his five grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Bill Bridwell; his niece, Amy Bridwell and her husband; and a community that is deeply grateful for the life he lived. His legacy of service will not be forgotten.
A service will be held at on 21 August 2026 at 11:00am at Seed of Abraham Fellowship (6355 N. Courtenay Pkwy. Merritt Island, FL 32953). In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to Amy’s Fund at Crosswinds Youth Services. Gifts may be made at
