Timothy John Davies
Sep 23, 1942 — Jul 13, 2026
Timothy John Davies, age 83, was born to eternal life July 13, 2026, at his home in Cocoa Beach, Florida surrounded by his two sons and wife of almost 58 years. Tim was born on September 23, 1942, in Waukesha, Wisconsin to Bill and Janet Davies. His parents also owned a property on Spring Lake in Mukwonago, Wisconsin where Tim and his two sisters spent many summers.
Tim graduated from Waukesha High School where he was a competitive athlete excelling in swimming and golf. He enjoyed scouting and became an Eagle Scout. Tim attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated with a degree in Business. Shortly after graduating he met his soulmate Marcia and they were wed in August of 1968.
Tim and Marcia lived in Waukesha and eventually purchased his uncle Wayne’s cottage on Spring Lake which is where they raised their two sons, Brad and Trent. Tim spent countless hours after dinner with the boys throwing whatever ball was in season or playing ping pong in the winter. He also spent many years coaching both boys’ youth soccer teams. Tim served his community for 2 terms on the Mukwonago School Board.
Tim worked hard but was smart enough to spend time doing the things he really enjoyed. Most will remember him fondly either in a fishing boat, goose blind or hunting field, on a golf course or at a card table.
Tim was an avid Badger fan and was so proud that both of his sons graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Tim’s hard work allowed him and Marcia to snowbird in Cocoa Beach, Florida soon after Trent graduated from high school. He was able to continue his love of fishing and golfing year-round. Tim also stayed active in the athletic arena earning several medals as a swimmer in the Florida Senior Olympics.
Tim will always be remembered by his wife, Marcia (née Wieland) and his sisters Ann (Jerry) Shea and Linda (Gloria) Bailey-Davies and brother-in-law Bill Wieland (Mary Frey). Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Janet Davies and his sister-in-law Linda Ocker. His legacy will live on through his sons, Brad (Christy) and Trent (Lynn) and his five wonderful grandchildren Alex, Luke (Sophia), Jake, Ashley and Claire, who all exhibit his kindness and competitive spirit, his first great grandchild due in November and other friends and family.
As the years went on his body didn’t hold up, but his spirit for life never waned and he always had a smile for everyone he met. His was a life well-lived.
