Andrew J. Connor

Andrew J. Connor, lovingly known as Andy, passed away peacefully at his home in Melbourne, Florida, on June 22, 2026, at the age of 94.

Born in 1931, Andy lived a life defined by dedication to his family, his country, and his community. Over the years, he called many places home, including Sayville, Queens, Patchogue, and Roslyn, New York, before settling in Melbourne, Florida.

Andy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he enjoyed a successful and varied professional career. He worked as a salesman for Sears Roebuck, later became a Certified Public Accountant and licensed insurance agent, and ultimately found his true calling in law enforcement. He served with distinction as a member of the New York State Park Police and later the New York State Police, earning the respect of colleagues and the communities he served throughout his long career.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan (Roche) Connor, of Melbourne, Florida; his daughters, Alisha Connor of Melbourne, Florida, and Tracey Luckingham and her husband, Greg, of Center Moriches, New York. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Jennifer, Catherine, and Elizabeth, and a cherished great-grandfather to Charlotte and Kennedy. He also leaves behind many cousins, in-laws, and dear friends who will remember him with love and gratitude.

Andy was predeceased by his three brothers, William, Joseph, and Terrance Connor, as well as his beloved nephew, Andy.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Melbourne, Florida. A private graveside service will be held in New York.
