Bonnie Dietz

Bonnie Jane (Carlin) Dietz, 83, of Viera, Florida, passed away October 17, 2025. Bonnie was born September 19, 1942 to Cora Rose (Smith) and E.L. Carlin in Davenport, Iowa and she is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Gary Conrad Dietz.

Bonnie is survived by daughter, Stephanie Archer and husband, Phil Archer of Merritt Island; son Dr. Matt Dietz and wife, Renee of Chicago; son Deryck Dietz and wife, Jessica of St. Louis, as well as 11 grandchildren: Savannah and Tristan Markland; Zachary, William, Grant, and Elaina Dietz; Julian, Emerson, and Cameron Dietz; Amanda and Cody Archer, as well as great-grandson, Bryson Markland. Bonnie is pre-deceased by her brothers Patrick and Daniel Carlin, and sister, Dorothy Wilner.

Bonnie was a devoted mother and military wife who took great care of her family when Gary was deployed while serving his county. She embodied the best qualities of unconditional love, strength in spirit, and unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her family. Bonnie loved playing games with family and friends and socializing with her Grand Isle Community. Her precious smile, kind soul, and big heart will be missed by all.

We will celebrate Bonnie’s life on November 15, 2025 with a mass at St. John’s Evangelist Catholic Church at 10 a.m. This will be followed by a repass at the Grand Isle Clubhouse at noon. In lieu of flowers please make a donation on Bonnie’s behalf to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Children’s Heart Foundation, or Tunnel to Towers, three charities that were important to her.
