Deborah (Debbie) Kay Poole

Deborah (Debbie) Kay Poole, age 75, passed away peacefully at home on July 3,2026 surrounded by loved ones. Debbie was born on August 7, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Charles and Helen Thrash. She was married to James Joseph Poole on February 18, 1975, in Italy prior to his deployment to Greece. Debbie was a loving, devoted military wife.

Debbie earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University in 1972 and a master's degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Accounting. She retired from Defense and Finance Accounting Services in December 2015.

In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, cross-stitching, cooking, bunco and following Notre Dame Football and the Indianapolis Colts. We will all miss “Debbie’s rolls” during the holidays.

She is survived by her children Francisco R Poole and Cheyenne D Poole; grandchildren Deejay Y Poole, Brantley C Poole and Lilith Poole; sister Judy Yust and nephews Chris Yust, Ryan Yust and Kyle Yust. She was preceded in death by her husband James J Poole, parents Charles and Helen Thrash and brother Gary A Thrash
