Jeffrey Robert Sauer
Apr 14, 1967 — Jun 10, 2026
Jeffrey(Jeff) Robert Sauer born April 14, 1967 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin passed away peacefully in Florida, June 10, 2026 surrounded by family. If you knew Jeff, he loved his family and friends with all his heart! He also loved anything with a motor, the Packers, NASCAR and fishing! When he was 25 he moved from Wisconsin to Florida. Basically took his suitcase and began working at Cocoa Beach pier for a short time and then LaCantina and a quick minute at Dockside. Within 2 years he owned LaCantina, opening it up with only a case of beer and bag of fries and now today it is a very successful restaurant and hang out for many. He has built a legacy and we’re all so proud of him!
While we all will miss him so much we know he has fought the fight of stage 4 prostate cancer these past 4 years. He is no longer in pain, no more poison, no more fighting but many fun memories. He truly packed in 100 years into his 59!
Jeff is survived by his parents, Roberta & Bill, his 2 sisters, Kristi(Mark) and Wendy(Jim). Nieces and nephews, KyLee & Taylor and Reilly & William. Great nephews Brooks and Hayes. Aunt Trish(Ricky) and Uncle Paul(Teri). He is also survived by his life long partner of 34 years, Deb. Also, other family and so many friends, especially his ones in Florida who have become his “framily”.
A celebration of life will be held July 18th at the VFW in Cape Canaveral from 12-3. We will also be having one in Wisconsin on August 30th at the Erin Inn from 2-5. Be prepared to share stories as we know there are many!
We’d like to thank the caregivers at Vitas Hospice in Rockledge, Fl. for taking such great care of him and us. They were so compassionate and truly cared. A special thank you to Diane and Anna for their extra support and love.
I know everyone will always remember him for chances he gave so many, his kind heart and beautiful smile, keep laughing and dancing!
