Lieutenant Commander Mark Majcher, United States Navy (Retired) passed away on March 3, 2026. Mark was born on August 28, 1952, in Rockledge, Florida to Clement and Geraldine (Chorey) Majcher. He graduated from C.W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville, New York, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Indiana Institute of Technology in 1974, and later a Master of Science in Systems Analysis from the University of Southern California. Mark was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy and earned the distinction as a naval aviator. Mark flew fixed wing aircraft and helicopters squadrons on the U.S. East and West coasts, and supply ships. Upon retirement from the Navy, he worked as an auditor for a military contractor.
Mark earned the title of Distinguished Toast Master (DTM) and wrote a monthly column in Toastmasters International Magazine. He volunteered for Space Coast Honor Flight and was a member of the Military Officers Association of America, Cape Canaveral Chapter. Mark and his family attended St. John the Evangelist Parish in Viera, Florida.
Mark is survived by his wife of fifty-one years Frances (Nyenhuis) Majcher and two daughters, Cheryl Peacock (Todd) and Christine Wilson. He was blessed to have Craig and Aubrey as grandchildren. Mark also has a surviving sister, Lauren Majcher, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
