Rosemary Cecilia Tecson
Jan 10, 1937 — Sep 5, 2026
Rosemary Cecilia Tecson passed peacefully on September 5, 2026 after a brief illness. Born in Steelton, Pennsylvania on January 10, 1937, to Joseph and Catherine Kambic, she earned her nursing diploma from Saint Agnes Hospital School of Nursing (1957) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania (1968).
She embarked on a nursing career with the U.S. Air Force, including postings in Savannah, GA; Tucson, AZ; Türkiye; and Manila, Philippines. While stationed at Clark Air Base, she met Dr. Arturo SJ Tecson, a Philippine Air Force surgeon, and they married on July 24, 1971. Their family moved to the United States in 1975 and settled in Hershey, Pennsylvania in 1983 where Rosemary continued her nursing work part-time. Arturo and Rosemary relocated to Florida in 2010 to be near their grandchildren.
Rosemary was a devout Catholic who recited the rosary daily, went on five international pilgrimages, and generously supported St. John the Evangelist parish in Viera, Florida. She was a passionate Notre Dame supporter, proudly sending her two sons and grandson to the university and her daughter to Saint Mary's College. She was also an enthusiastic fan of Gene Autry, the Singing Cowboy, and cherished his films and music.
She is survived by her children Arturo Tecson (Jennifer), Michael Tecson (Meghan Donnelly), and Christina Tecson; three grandchildren; and brother-in-law Peter Graybash. She was predeceased by her husband Arturo; her parents; and siblings William, Joseph, Dorothy, and Margaret.
A funeral mass will be held in honor of Rosemary on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Community at 10:00 AM, with a Rosary and visitation beginning at 8:45 AM.
Burial will take place on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at 12:30PM.
