Sheila Wilson Aiani

Sheila Wilson Aiani, age 62, passed away on August 23rd, 2026 in Viera, Florida surrounded by her beloved family.

Born on June 21st, 1964 in Staten Island, New York, Sheila was the daughter of James and Anne Wilson, siblings to Catherine Wilson Mooney , Laura Carioti, James Wilson, and Sarah Siller. Sheila grew up in Staten Island and attended Blessed Sacrament Elementary School and Moore Catholic High School. Following her adolescent schooling, Sheila attended Pace University and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelors of Science in MIS. She continued her education and in 2009 received her Masters of Education from Walden University. Sheila worked at a number of New York Wall Street firms including JP Morgan, Drexel Burnham and Lambert, and Solomon Brothers working on their trading floors in the technology department.

Sheila relocated to Florida with her husband John in 1997, where they raised three beautiful children James, Joseph, and Juliet. In 2004, Sheila and her family ventured to Las Vegas, Nevada. Here she began substitute teaching and working part time for her and her husband's newly founded business 3J Investments Inc., all while continuing to raise their children until 2008. Sheila, John, and the family moved again to Wall Township, New Jersey in 2008, where she continued to substitute teach while juggling her duties as a mom. During this time was when Sheila received her Masters of Education from Walden University in 2009.

In 2010, the family relocated for the final time landing in Melbourne, Florida where Sheila advanced her second career obtaining her Florida Teaching Certificate in Exceptional Education. Sheila began working for the Brevard County School Systems at Tropical Elementary in Merritt Island, Florida. Her passion for her students and guiding them to grow and be strong, courageous, and successful was vastly important to Sheila and was her trademark. She was a voice and advocate for her students and ensured they were provided every service needed to succeed. She recently retired in May of 2026 after 16 phenomenal teaching years.

Sheila was extremely proud of her Scottish heritage and known for her tenacious and vivacious personality. She always showed kindness and fierce loyalty to those in her life. Her willingness to defend or assist others and put those before herself never wavered. If anyone needed a favor, Sheila was the first to drop everything and do what she could. Whether you needed an ear to vent to or a person to stand in your corner, Sheila was there. Those around Sheila could depend on her and knew how deeply committed she was to helping others.

From a young adult age, Sheila loved spending her summers with John at the Jersey Shore, Long Beach Island, and Wildwood beaches, while wintering and fearlessly skiing her way through the Camelback Mountains in The Poconos, Pennsylvania. Sheila continued to eagerly travel and explore the United States with her husband and was an avid cruiser with her family. Her hobbies included working out, relaxing on the beach, and reading a good book. Sheila recently returned to her love of golf and would go out and play at Suntree Country Club with her husband, where they have been members for the past 16 years. One of her most enjoyable endeavors was preparing and cooking her infamous chicken cutlet parmesan with her homemade sauce. During her downtime, Sheila was often found lounging by the pool with a nice glass of wine listening to 80’s classic rock or spending time with her close friends.

More than anything, Sheila was unapologetically devoted to her family. Sheila and John got married in 1990 after dating for 13 years as childhood sweethearts. They spent 49 wonderful years together growing a beautiful family. She constantly spoke about her husband and her children. Anyone who knew Sheila felt as though they knew her family personally. This also extended to her siblings as well. Sheila was so incredibly proud of her children and radiated with joy and love when she discussed their goals, accomplishments, and successes. Her proudest moments were watching all three of her children graduate from college. Some of Sheila’s happiest moments were spent with her family (extra points if it was at the beach). Everything surrounding her family such as meals together, trips or cruises, or simple phone calls catching up were so special and meant everything to her.

Sheila was an incredible beam of light that will never be put out. While she will be terribly missed, she leaves behind countless memories and a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to have known and loved her. Her impact on those she touched will remain cherished. We will be forever changed and blessed to know Sheila.
