William Edward Hare

William "Bill" Edward Hare of Melbourne, Florida, passed away on September 15, 2025, in Rockledge, Florida, at the age of 71.

Born in Beverly, Massachusetts, on February 24, 1954, he was the son of the late Arthur and Eva Hare of Salem, MA. He was one of four children, all of whom have preceded him in death.

He was educated in the public schools of Salem, MA, and was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church during his early years. From 1972 to 1974, he served in the United States Air Force as an Airman First Class. He was most proud of surveying the New England coast as an Air Force ranger and concluded his service at Travis Air Force Base in California.

Throughout his life, he resided in Salem, Lynn, and Beverly, Massachusetts, before relocating to Melbourne, Florida, in 1995, where he lived until his passing. He held various jobs over the years, his final tenure was at Harris Corporation in Melbourne, where he worked in the warehouse for over a decade.

A devoted member of St. David's By the Sea Episcopal Church in Cocoa Beach, he served as a Eucharistic Minister.

He was predeceased by his beloved husband, Richard E. Hobbs of Melbourne, FL, and his brother-in-law, Alan S. Ross of Nashua, NH.

He is survived by his sister-in-law Sally H. Ross of Nashua, NH; niece Tammy E. Ross of Peabody, MA; nephew Andrew S. Ross and his wife Tanya A. Salgals of Nashua, NH; grand-niece Presley J. Ross of Nashua, NH; many dear friends from his church family; and his cherished dog, Lady Mae.
