Agnes D. Awai, resident of Bothell, Washington and formerly of Honolulu and Maui, Hawaii, passed away on December 23, 2014 at age 90. Agnes was a long-time Federal Government civilian employee, retiring from Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu. She also worked for a time for the State of Hawaii tax department. Agnes is survived by her daughter Frances Johnson (Mark), son Adrian Awai (Joy); her grandchildren: Malia Zenk (Mark), Luana Ryan, Keala Ryan, and Aubry Awai; and great grandchildren: Jasmine Zenk, Talan Zenk, Solomon Keen, and Edward Noguera. She is also survived by her sisters, Catherine, Mary, Joan, Dorothy, and Sharilyn (Reg); and brothers, Joe (Velma) and Thomas (Elaine); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen, and her sister Rose Dang. Agnes cherished her family and was a great friend to all who knew her. She was dedicated to her traditional Catholic faith and the many parishioners at Holy Redeemer Church in Seattle, Washington as well as Corpus Christi Church in Edmonds, Washington. A Rosary and viewing will be held on January 9, 2015 at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery in Shoreline, Washington. Remembrances may be directed to Providence Hospice in Everett, Washington or your favorite charity.
