Alice (Hansen) Rosaia, a long-time resident of the Wedgwood area, died Sept. 11, 2015 at the age of 89. Born March 1926 in Rockville, MN, Alice moved to Seattle to finish her last year of high school. She worked at Rosaia Brothers Florist where she eventually met her husband, Richard Rosaia. Alice and Richard worked together creating a construction business and raising a family. In her later years Alice positively affected the lives of over 730 young mothers by donating her hand crocheted baby blankets to those in need. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard P. Rosaia, daughter Catherine A. (Rosaia) Slipper, parents Aloysious Michael and Susan (Dockendorf) Hansen, her brothers and sisters; Charlotte Marie Stein, Pierre A. Hansen, Richard H. Hansen, Arthur M. Hansen and Johanna S. Kinloch. She is survived by her son William R. Rosaia of Keaau, HI, granddaughters Sara N. Slipper of Bellingham, WA, Jessica M. (Slipper) Newberg of Port Angeles, WA and great granddaughter Liliana R. Newberg, her brothers and sisters; John L. Hansen of Spring Grove, PA, Mary Ann Stark of Edmonds, WA, Aloysious E. Hansen of Pine Mt., GA, Mabel L. Coborn of Sartell, MN, Thomas M. Hansen of Lahaina, HI and Donald H. Hansen of Orondo, WA and numerous nephews and nieces.
