Andrea Conanja Hermes

Andrea (Ria) Hermes passed away on January 29, 2015. She was born on June 7, 1933 in Surabaya, Indonesia. Ria immigrated to Holland at the age of 17 with her family; and immigrated to the USA in 1962 with her husband Stephen, her son Raymond and she was expecting another child. She is survived by her sons Edward, and Raymond and his wife Ann, and grandsons Stephen Benjamin and Elijah; her adopted family Hugo and Austrid and their sons, Jason and Derek. Ria is also survived by her brother Ezra and his family, and sister Pauline and her family, and her brothers-in-law Rolf and Dirk, Mom was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Wherever she went she wore her beautiful smile and made conversation with friend; and stranger who didnt stay a stranger for long, but became a friend. Mom loved the Lord with her whole heart and shared so much love with those around her; she radiated Jesus love. Mom always followed the leading of the Holy Spirit; she made calls of encouragement, dropped off groceries or meals as she felt led and always prayed for all she knew. She was a very special gem. We all cherished our times spent with her and look forward to seeing her again in Heaven.
