Anna Esther Bustard

Jan 18, 1931 — May 13, 2015

Anna Esther Bustard, born January 18, 1931 in Shawnee, Kansas, passed away peacefully at her home on May 12, 2015. She follows her husband, John Bustard Jr. of 60 years, who two years prior was called home to be with the Lord. At the age of five years old, she, with her sisters, went to live in a Catholic home for girls and was raised by Catholic Nuns. Two sisters, Pauline and Josephine Dee, would pick up Mom to visit them on holidays and vacations. Anna was introduced to John Elden Bustard by his brother, Melvin Robert Bustard. Anna married the love of her life, John Elden Bustard. The two were united in holy matrimony in 1954. Anna was a lifelong servant of the Lord through the Catholic Church and Saint Thomas Moore Parish. She was a woman full of life, abundance and never lacked simply because she gave so much (2 Corinthians 9:6). A wonderful friend and devoted mother, she loved her children and worked hard to be a good mother. After raising her children she went to work as a data processor for Peoples Bank, where she retired. Anna is now with the love of her life and is eternally happy. She leaves behind her eight children, Kathy (Howard), Arlene (Cyril), Joe (Abigail), Carl (Mia), John (Maylene), Paul (Anne), Martha (Dave), Robert (Jennifer); 14 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Anna was very giving and her favorite charities are St. Josephs Indian School and Mathew House. Donations in her memory should be made to Mathew House, P.O. Box 201, Monroe, WA 98272, giving the heart of Christ to the forgotten victims - Women and Children of Prisoners (Children of Incarcerated Parents) matthewhousemonroe.org.
