Colleen Roos, 87, was born October 15, 1929 in Seattle. She died in her sleep on October 29, 2016 in Lynnwood. Her husband, J. Richard Roos and parents, Milton and Viola Lowe, preceded her in death. Colleen is survived by her loving children, Michelle and Don Goodrum, of Mesa, Ariz.; Scott and Debbie Roos of Freeland; adoring granddaughters, Jenna and Sara Goodrum of Salt Lake City; and brothers Ed (Carolyn) Lowe of Camano Island and Russell Lowe (Woodinville).A graduate of Roosevelt High School in Seattle, Colleen earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington. In 1952 Colleen married J. Richard Roos. Prior to beginning her family, Colleen taught in the Seattle and Edmonds School Districts and in Mountain Home, Idaho. After raising her children, Colleen returned to the work force and joined her husband as the recnist in his dental practice in Lynnwood until his death in 1999. Colleen was active in the community with the Stevens Hospital Auxiliary (past president and PEO Sisterhood Chapter EJ (past president). She loved her weekly ceramics class, traveling, and spending time with family at their Whidbey Island cabin.An open house will be held from 2-4 pm on Saturday, December 3rd at Becks Tribute Center, 405 Fifth Avenue South, Edmonds. Interment at Acacia Memorial Park, Seattle.
