David Alan Ross

Dr. David A. RossA long-time resident of Edmonds, Washington, died at ManorCare in Lynnwood, WA on March 24, 2010 and went home to be with the Lord. He was born on Nov. 8, 1949 in Charleston, WV. As a teenager, David moved with his family to Vancouver, WA and two years later to Squamish, B.C., Canada. He graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1971 with a degree in Economics and later earned a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California School of Optometry in Fullerton, CA. Upon graduation, David returned to the northwest and established the Edmonds Vision Center in Edmonds, WA where he practiced for over 25 years. Dr. Ross was preceded in death by his father, Ralph E. Ross. He is survived by his mother, Muriel H. Ross of Franklin, TN; his older brother, Jon D. Ross (Suzy) of Brentwood, TN; his younger brother, Michael L. Ross of Tahuya, WA; his nieces, Amy Ross Weber (Doug) of Franklin, TN and Carrie Ross Wilson (Patrick) of Brentwood, TN; two great nephews, Jacob Ross Wilson and Jonathan Graham Wilson of Brentwood, TN; a special and dear friend, Danice Souza of Lynnwood, WA; and his little buddy, Sammy.A Memorial will be held for Dr. Ross at a later date in Tennessee. The family requests that memorial donations in Davids memory be made the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
