Dawn Jean Feiler Nelson

Feb 5, 1966 — Oct 5, 2016

Dawn Jean Feiler-Nelson was born to Don and Jacqueline Feiler in St. Cloud, Minnesota on February 5 th 1966. Her childhood was spent in Sauk Rapids, on Lake Vermillion and Royalton. She attended St. Cloud State University and remained in St. Cloud until she decided to move to the Great Northwest, an area where she lived for the rest of her life. Dawns fondest memories of her childhood all involved swimming in a lake or wading in a river. Her love of water continued into her adult years. She spent as much time as possible enjoying the sandy beaches and rocky shores of the Pacific Ocean and Puget Sound. Polar Bear Plunge, anyone? Dawns primary employment was as a software trainer, an occupation she enjoyed. She taught classes at universities across the United States and at Coast Guard facilities along the West Coast. She finished her career working for PacMed Clinics. Dawn enjoyed human interaction. She was that person who would look you in the eye and greet you with an irresistible Hello! Her smile was contagious, coaxing a return smile and kindly conversation from even the most reluctant. She made friends and kept them. Dawn had an enormous love for all dogs, but most especially for her beloved Pomeranians, (Harley and Della). Her home was a place of joy. She loved having friends and family over and the fuss involved was never a fuss to her. She was an avid cook, adamantly insisting that Roix was the key to any great sauce. At the time of her death, Dawn and her husband Tory were only a few weeks from celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. Dawn is preceded in death by her parents, Jacqueline and Don, her grandmother Celia, and her mother-in-law, Sandee. Her husband Tory survives her, as do her brothers Jason Feiler (Deb) Little Falls, Tim Feiler (Scarlett) Royalton, Darren Feiler (HuiCha) Olympia, sister Chris Giancola (Bryan) St. Cloud. She also leaves many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. She will be missed forever. There will be a Celebration of Life for Dawn on October 25th between 5-7 P.M. at Becks Funeral Home 405 5th Ave South, Edmonds, Washington. There will be a Service for Dawn at Love of Christ Church on Nov. 12th at 3:00 P.M. Love of Christ Church is located at 1971 Pine Cone Road, St. Cloud, Minnesota 56303.
