Donald Stephens Davis

Donald Stephens Davis died at his home in Edmonds Washington on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the age of 59. Don was born on May 24,1954 in Seattle Washington to Leslie and Janice Davis. After graduating from Nathan Hale High School, he moved to Montana where he helped run Sundance, a guest ranch his family owned and worked in the Montana woods logging timber. In 1983, he returned to Seattle with his wife and two young children and settled in Shoreline. He went to work for Alpha Cine Labs, the company his father founded and continued to work there until his death.Don had many happy memories and loved to talk about growing up with his brothers and sister in Lake City, his years in Montana working and living at Sundance, family vacations at Porcupine on Lake Roosevelt and sailing the San Juan Islands in his familys sailboat. He loved hiking and geocaching, working in his garden and geoduck digging at the family beach house. He was an avid bowler and his team 3 Men and a Brat were at the top of their league. Don was a project guy and spent much time researching, planning and executing his projects from mason bee houses to potato guns. He could fix anything from the processing machines at the lab to the broken water pipe in the front yard.Don will be remembered as a quiet and humble man with integrity, a silly sense of humor, an amazing smile and a happy, playful spirit.He is survived by his partner, Jill Baker, his children Shana Hay (Daniel Hay), Kyle Davis, grandchildren Cheyanne Hay, Zane Hay, Ayden Davis, parents Les and Janice Davis, sister Jeanette Bodeutsch (Gary Bodeutsch), brothers Stan Davis (Carol Davis), Larry Davis ( Val Davis), Mitch Davis, Jills daughters Anna Conrad, Erin Colpitts, Karla Galusha, Katie Colpitts and her 11 grandchildren.
