Donna Mae Cottrell

Jul 7, 1928 — Feb 21, 2013

Donna Cottrell, 84, Marysville, Washington, passed away, February 21, 2013.She was born in Everett Washington, the daughter of Evelyn and Elbert McBride. Donna graduated Richmond Beach High School and is survived by her son Danny B. Cottrell; four grandchildren Steve Shabro, Eddy Shabro, Blair Cottrell, and Joshua Cottrell; and four great grandchildren. She was born in Everett, July 7, 1928 and spent her childhood in Richmond Beach, where she graduated from Richmond Beach High School. Not long after she married Donald Cottrell, a service member of the Coastguard. Their service life together was filled with adventures: including living in the Lime Kiln lighthouse on San Juan; residing in Alaska while it became a state; experiencing hurricane Carla in Galveston, TX; and many more. She was a huge sports fan if you stopped by her house in-season you know youd find her watching the Mariners or Sonics. In retirement both her and her husband Donald shared some of the best of times living on the south fork of the Stillaguamish River from Spring into Fall and then travailing to Mesa Arizona for the winter. Her love of hard work, as well as her generosity, and laughter will be missed but not forgotten.
