Dorothy Marie Scholze

On Monday Dec. 8, 2014 in Seattle, WA Dorothy passed away. Formerly of Pittsburgh, PA lang=SV m SV (Forest Hills) she was born in North Braddock, PA on Feb 25, 1921 to Stephen and Veronica Stash; sister to Andrew, Joseph, Albert and Edward Stash.Beloved wife of the late Paul J. Scholze; mother to: Stephen (Pittsburgh), lang=NL m NL Phillip (Beaverton, OR), and Florence and David of Seattle; grandmother to: Timothy, Justyn, Adam, Christian, lang=DE m DEHans, Erik, Gretchen, Zachary, Sarah, and Jeremy.A 1939 graduate of Divine Providence Academy, she went on to study nursing at St. Johns Hospital in Pittsburgh, graduating in 1942. In 1946 she married USMC Lt. lang=DE m DEPaul J. Scholze. They lived for a short time in Braddock, PA then raised their children in lang=NL m NLE. McKeesport and Forest Hills before moving to Seattle in 1972. Dorothy was active in several churches and continued her nursing career until 1995. She was part of the greatest American generation. Dorothy will be missed by her loving family and friends. May she rest in peace. pWe will have fellowship and rosary on Wednesday, Dec.17th from 4:00-7:00 pm at Becks Funeral Home in Edmonds, WA.
