Eric Christian Christoffersen

Eric Christian Christoffersen, 46, passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2026, at his father’s home in Edmonds, Washington.

Eric was born on September 10, 1979, at Rahway Hospital in Rahway, New Jersey, to Arthur and Patricia Christoffersen. He was the eldest of three siblings, growing up in Succasunna, New Jersey, alongside his younger brother, Kurt, and sister, Katrina.

In 1995, Eric moved with his family to Agoura Hills, California, where he graduated from Agoura High School. After high school, Eric developed a love for travel and adventure that would remain an important part of his life. In 1998, he took his first international trip to the British Isles, a journey that became one of his most memorable experiences. 

Over the years, he traveled throughout Europe, visiting England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany, Holland, and Belgium, as well as Canada.

Eric also enjoyed exploring the United States. He took several cross-country road trips between the West Coast and his beloved New Jersey, often traveling with his father. Among his favorite stops were Chicago and Deadwood, South Dakota. One of his final adventures was a cruise to Bermuda with his father in 2026.

Throughout his life, Eric lived in several places, including Agoura Hills and Hollywood, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; Edmonds, Washington; and Cliffside Park, New Jersey. During his years in Hollywood, Eric enjoyed the excitement of the Hollywood club scene and had the opportunity to rub elbows with celebrities.

Eric had a deep affection for New Jersey, which he always considered home. He longed for the familiarity of the place where he had grown up and, for a time in his life, wished he could remain there forever. In his later years, he alternated between his condo in Cliffside Park and his father’s home in Edmonds, Washington.

While living in the Pacific Northwest, Eric enjoyed the unique cultures of Seattle and Portland. Some of his favorite experiences were going to Seahawks games, singing karaoke and going to concerts with his family. He also shared a special bond with his Russian Blue cat, Miley, whom he loved dearly. The cat was named after one of Eric’s favorite entertainers, Miley Cyrus.

Eric was a passionate movie fan and loved quoting lines from films. His favorite stories included The Godfather and The Sopranos, and his family often joked that he bore a resemblance to actor Nicolas Cage. His love of movies, travel, and storytelling gave him plenty of memories and stories to share.

Eric will be remembered by his family for his unique personality, his love of travel, his affection for New Jersey, his appreciation for movies, and the many experiences that made his life distinctly his own.

He is survived by his father, Arthur Christoffersen; his brother, Kurt Christoffersen; his sister, Katrina Christoffersen; and his niece, Rebecca Christoffersen. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Christoffersen.

A funeral service for Eric will be held at Beck’s Tribute Center, followed by his final resting place at Beck’s Rest Lawn, on September 10, 2026, which would have been his 47th birthday. 

Eric will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. His life was filled with places traveled, stories collected, movies remembered, and memories that will remain with those who loved him.
