Gaylynne Ullerich

A caring wife to Jeffrey Ullerich of 21 years and loving mother to Joshua, 17, and Emily, 14; GayLynne was raised in Terry, MT. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bob Lantis and the only sister to Robert Bruce, Michael Glen, and Patrick Ralph. A naturally talented athlete she grew up playing sports and leading the high school basketball team to victory. A graduate of Terry High school and MSU-Billings, she traveled extensively and taught in Iceland. She met Jeff on the Salmon River during a white water rafting trip. The couple moved to the Puget Sound area in 1989. GayLynne will be remembered for living life with gusto, her loveable personality, ready smile, contagious energy, witty sense of humor, intelligence, her big heart and being a friend to all she met. A treasured Health/Fitness/PE teacher and coach at Madrona K-8 since 2006, GayLynne was a friend to fellow teachers and well respected by her students. She was a tremendous role model on how to live a healthy lifestyle-from her food choices to biking to school every day.GayLynnes top priority was her family and she shared her excitement for life and adventure with them. She taught Girl Scouts canoeing and water safety, was involved in Boy Scouts, took her children and their friends skiing, hiking and backpacking and involved them in helping those less fortunate. She was a devoted volunteer at Maplewood K-8 Co-op and an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. When she was on an adventure, she was already planning the familys next adventure. She also worked part time as a technician in the bicycle department at REI. Of all her achievements, career pursuits and community activities, being Mom to Joshua and Emily was most important.
