Gerald Duane Stevenson
Jul 3, 1942 — Apr 4, 2010
Jerry Stevenson of Edmonds, Washington passed away on April 4, 2010 at the age of 67. Jerry was born in Mount Vernon, WA on July 3, 1942. He graduated from Edmonds High School in 1960 and later from WWU. While in Bellingham he met and married Janice DaZelle and they were married for 23 years. They moved to San Diego in the late 1960s and had their only child, Jarret, in 1970. He was a salesman and District Manager for Coast distributing before returning to Edmonds to be closer to his family in the mid 1990s. He then worked for Community Transit, which he thoroughly enjoyed, before retiring in 2009.Among the things that brought him the most joy were spending time on his boat, riding his motorcycle, and being with his friends and family-whether it be in his home town of Edmonds or his adopted home of San Diego, California. He was a good-natured, generous soul who would immediately put anyone at ease with his terrific sense of humor. He is survived by his son, Jarret of San Diego, CA; his sister Joanie (Richard) Dwyer of Snohomish; his nephew Darrin (Angela) Dwyer of Seattle; his uncle Cliff Stering of Edmonds; and many cousins in the Snohomish county Area.Youre gone but will never be forgotten and we will miss you.A Funeral Service will be held at Becks Funeral Home, 405 5th Ave. S, Edmonds (425)771-1234 at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 12, 2010.
