Gladys Marie Sechler

Went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the age of 95. She was born in Fairview, Oklahoma on February 17, 1913, daughter to Adelia and Isiah Miller, youngest of eight children. She married Stanton in 1931, moving to the Seattle area in 1936. Her husband of 57 years preceded her in death in 1988.Gladys leaves two daughters: Lois (and her husband the late Harry Harris), her three children, their spouses, and ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and Carol (and her husband the late Philip Burk, their seven children, three spouses and eight grandchildren. She especially enjoyed the special times with her family, their antics, laughter and games. Gladys also leaves behind her adoring sister, Clarice Anderson in Chico, California, and many caring nieces and nephews. She will truly be missed by her family and many friends.The Lord blessed her with a deep love for gardening and flowers. She also was an accomplished poet, touching many hearts with memories through her words.Gladys desired private family services.
