On the morning of November 10, 2015, Gloria passed away peacefully in Shoreline, Washington. Gloria was being comforted by family members at the time of her passing. Gloria was 81 years old. Gloria was born in the city of Juarez, Mexico on October 18, 1934. She was the fourth child, and the first daughter, of Francisca Urrea and Juan Perez. Gloria lived her childhood years in El Paso, Texas and moved to Los Angeles, California as a young adult. She worked at Germains Seed and Plant Company for many years and later in sales at Sears department store until her retirement.Gloria had 6 children and also raised her 2 nieces following the death of her brother and sister in-law in 1970. Gloria was married to Robert Wilson until they divorced in the 1980s.Gloria enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, and nanny to her many grandchildren. She also loved Latin music and dancing. Among family Gloria was known for her promptness to get up and dance at the sound of Salsa music. She was equally known for her kindness and caring as well as her sternness. Throughout her entire life Gloria adored her children. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Juan Perez and Francisca Urrea Cordero and brothers Luis Perez, Juan Perez, and Roberto Perez, and niece Louise Perez. Gloria is survived by her sister Evangelina Alonso (Sabas Alonso), brother Miguel Angel Cordero (Lupe Cordero), daughters Frances Villalobos, Armida Wehbi (Ghassan Wehbi), Gloria Loomis (Tim Loomis), Elizabeth Draper (Brian Drapper), Rosalinda Durham (Gene Durham), son Keith Aldrich, 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date, date TBD, at Calvary Mortuary in Los Angeles, California when Glorias ashes will be placed next to her mothers burial site. Special thanks to Glorias wonde caregivers at Shoreline Senior Care Adult Family Home: Maria, Celeste, and James, and to the wonde nurses and caregivers with GHC Hospice Care.
