Harriet S. Brakken died on Mar 22. Born in Haines, AK Aug 19, 1918 and graduated from Western College (Ohio) in 39. She taught school in Alaska and had a long working career at Marsh McLennan. She was an active member of Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church and a long-time volunteer for the Foss Home Auxiliary. She is survived by her son Steve Brakken, daughter in-law Lori; grandson Tucker and great grandson Parker; niece Betsy Galloway, nephew Fred Hakkinen and his wife, Fritse. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, sister Elisabeth, and brothers Steve and Fred. A memorial service has been scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 21, Phinney Ridge Lutheran, 7500 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA. 98103. Remembrances to Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church.
