Feb 19, 1921 — Jan 30, 2012

Harvey E. Wick, Jr. Harvey was born in Spokane, WA on Feb. 20, 1921 to Harvey E. Wick Sr. and Pearl Keoper. Harvey was a graduate of Gonzaga Prep and attended Gonzaga University for two years before enlisting in the US Navy in 1942. He trained as a fighter pilot and went to war aboard the USS Bunker Hill CV-17. During his time in the Pacific, 1944-1945, Harvey survived two Kamikaze hits, and returned home as a decorated pilot. Harvey married Claudia Kestell and they made their home in Mountlake Terrace, WA. Until his retirement, Harvey worked for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as an airline pilot and flight inspector. His job gave him many adventures and the opportunity to travel all around the country. Harveys two passions in life were flying and anything related to aviation; and second his family; he was a true family man. He is survived by his five children: Dennis (Diane) Wick of Lake Forest Park WA, Pat (Margie) Wick of Spokane WA, Colleen (Dick) Thomas of Lynnwood WA, Terry Wick of Kingston WA, Kathy Hedman of Seattle WA; and seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Claudia. A Funeral Mass was held on Feb. 18, 2012 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Mountlake Terrace, WA; with committal at Holyrood Cemetery in Shoreline, WA.
