Howard Lee Womer

Howard L. Womer age 92, of Edmonds, WA passed away on February 15, 2009. He was born on January 30, 1917 to Wilber and Bertha (Wasser) Womer in Big Lake, WA. Howard married Florence Besler on June 10, 1946. During WWII he served served in the U.S. Army as a member of the 41st Division Association. He also, was a member of the Retired Bakers Association.He was a long-time member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Edmonds, WA and served as sacristan for many years.Howard is survived by his wife, Florence of 62 years; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.A Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2009 at Becks Funeral Home, 405 5th Ave. S., Edmonds, (425)771-1234. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 630 7th Ave. N., Edmonds; Recn to follow. Entombment at HolyroodCemetery in Shoreline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Holy Rosary School Scholarship Fund or Holy Rosary Building Fund.
