Irene June Stevenson

Irene June StevensonPassed away February 18, 2010 in Edmonds, Washington. She was born April 5, 1922 in Stanwood, Washington to Fred and Lillie Stering. She was an owner of Andre and Irenes Hair Salon in Northgate. Irene was a resident of Edmonds for over 70 years, and was a loving mother. She enjoyed many trips to Reno with her husband, Harold. She loved making her flower arrangements, family gatherings, dancing, and a good joke. She is survived by her son Jerry Stevenson of Edmonds and daughter Joan (Richard) Dwyer of Snohomish; grandchildren Jarret Stevenson of San Diego and Darrin (Angela) Dwyer of Seattle; brother, Clifford Stering of Edmonds; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harold Stevenson in 2002. Irene will be greatly missed. A Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Becks Funeral Home, 405 5th Ave. S, Edmonds (425)771-1234.
