James Herbert Little

James (Jim) passed peacefully on Jan. 19, 2020 at his home in Edmonds, WA. He was 97 yrs old. Jim was born in Iron River, Wisconsin, the 5th of 11 children of William & Lutie Little. He married, Dolores Radek, on Sept. 30, 1941, in Dubuque, Iowa, and they were married for 77 yrs & 10 days until she passed on 10/10/2018. He is survived by his 7 children: Mary Lou (Larry) Rairdon, Surprise, AZ, James (Debi) Little, Portland, OR, Dwight (Lynda) Little, Everett, WA, Tom (Connie) Little, Snohomish, WA, Dan (Ann) Little, Edmonds, WA, Mike (Erin) Little, Renton, WA, and Lisa Little, Hawthorne, WI; 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren & counting. After James was honorably discharged from the Army he and Dolores moved to Superior, WI. He worked for Coca Cola as a salesman and delivery driver. He enjoyed his Coca Cola every day! In 1951, he & Dolores moved to Seattle, WA. Jim trained under the GI Bill and became service manager for Bostitch Stapling Company. In 1954, Jim & Dolores moved to Edmonds, WA. They became parishioners of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. They were recently recognized, not only for being the longest attending parishioners, but also the longest married couple in the parish. Jim is preceded in death by his wife Dolores, his parents & all 10 of his siblings. Jim was a man with many talents and could figure out how to fix or repair anything. He owned Jim Little Construction Company, for many years and was proud of the many homes he built locally. A few years ago, Jim retired from another business he started in the late 1970’s, Jim Little Staple Supply, Inc., Tukwila, WA. He loved to take road trips, especially when Dolores was alive and he enjoyed working in the yard. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children or Wounded Warrior Project.
