James Orvald Neiminen

Our beloved Great-Heart Brother and Uncle, James Orvald Neiminen, went to be with his best friend and Savior Jesus Christ after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer this year. James was known as Cheeks at Butte High and served honorably in the Navy after graduation. He then opened an Arco garage in Las Vegas, followed by Burrows Garage in Hemet, CA, and finally Whitefish Garage in Whitefish, MT. His last years were spent with his adoring family in Seattle, WA, where he retired. Jim was a brilliant mechanic and he enjoyed a lifelong passion for motorcycles, riding all over the country. He loved serving at church and was on the security team for many years. His favorite people to shower generosity and blessings on were his many nieces and nephews. We will celebrate his life and lay him to rest in Big Sky County, Montana. He is preceded in death by his father Orvald, and his brothers Donald, Jerry and Bruce. Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12
