James Ellsworth Strock “Jim” passed away, surrounded by his family, on January 11, 2020 after a long battle with Large B Cell Lymphoma. Jim was the son of Milo and Lillian (Kast) Strock, born May 8, 1939 in Anacortes. After graduating from Anacortes High School, Jim received a Boeing Scholarship to attend Seattle University where he earned both his BA and Master’s degrees. He completed ROTC, and received his Army commission. He also earned a Graduate School of Banking degree. Leaving active duty, Jim worked for the Boeing Company for several years before he became a Realtor. He later worked nearly 30 years for SeaFirst Bank (Bank of America) as Vice President in the Real Estate Trust Division. He was a past president of the National Real Estate Trust Officers Association, and past member of Board of Realtors, and a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church for nearly 50 years. Jim enjoyed road trips, camping and hiking with the family. He was active in scouting, Young Life, church, and events involving his sons, and grandchildren. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He became fascinated with genealogy (his family history) spending time researching both online, and on many road adventures he and Jenny took to places around the country and Canada. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Jenny (Lundin), sons Mike (Laurie) and David (Tanya). Grandchildren: Cheyanne, Amber, Bradley, Lexie, Tara, Odan, Emil; and three great-grandchildren: Zachary, Kaylee, and Melanie; and former daughter-in-law Beth Gardner.
