Jerry Lee Leslie

Feb 2, 1938 — Aug 10, 2026

Jerry Lee Leslie, 88, of Lynnwood, WA, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026.

A beloved husband, father, and friend, Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Born on February 2, 1938, in Ada, OK, to Otto and Faye, Jerry spent his life dedicated to his family and to his career. After graduating from Yakima Valley Junior College and the University of Washington, Jerry began his career as a draftsman before transitioning into urban planning. He served for many years at HUD as the Director of Indian Programs for Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, during which time he also traveled by small aircraft to reach remote communities in Alaska.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jerry was a cornerstone of his family. More than just a stepfather to his children, he was a constant source of support, laughter, and wisdom. He will be remembered most for his legendary storytelling, his resourcefulness, and an unwavering kindness that extended to everyone he met. Whether he was spending a quiet day fishing at his favorite lake or cheering on the Mariners, Jerry approached life with a deep sense of appreciation and community.

Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie. He leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by his devoted wife, Alberta; his children, Rusty (Russ), Jerry Allen, Jim, Leslie, and Jeff, and their families; as well as many dear friends who became family over the years.

Ever the planner, in his final hours Jerry shared with his family that a house was being prepared for him—though he made it clear that Alberta was not to follow him just yet.
