Joan Violet Carr passed with peaceful dignity at the age of seventy-six at the Swedish Medical Center in Edmonds, Washington on February 10, 2021. Joan was the beloved wife of Dr. Lewis Charles Carr and the loving mother of Charles Christian Carr, of Lynnwood, Washington, Charles’ wife Sheri, and Jonathan Edward Carr of Lynnwood, Washington. Joan was the devoted grandmother of Sten Christian Carr of Santa Barbara, California and Charles Camden Carr of Westlake Village, California. Joan was the daughter of the former Reverend and Mrs. William Andrew Wood of Montreat, North Carolina. Joan was the loving sister of Dr. William Costin Wood of Atlanta, Georgia, Reverend John Miles Wood of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Rev. James Paul Wood of Sevierville, Tennessee. Joan was a devoted mother, talented artist, gifted vocalist, and excellent fifth grade educator in Rowley, Massachusetts and Suffield, Connecticut. Joan dedicated her life to her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and her family. Heaven Is More Complete. A memorial service will be scheduled at the Beck's Tribute Center in Edmonds, Washington. Gifts may be sent to the Wear's Valley Ranch in Sevierville, Tennessee in lieu of flowers.
