Joanna Marie Baum

Joanna passed away on September 1, 2011 with her family by her side. She was born April 3, 1928 in Pekin, Illinois to Roger and Gladys Pipes. She is predeceased by two sisters, Betty and Rogena. She is survived by Howard Baum, her loving husband of 57 years; and their children: Keith (Pat), Karen and Brian (na). Joanna attended Coe Elementary and graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1946. A resident of Edmonds since 1962, Joanna worked for Pacific Northwest Bell until her retirement in 1984. She had a great sense of adventure and an insatiable love of travel. Joannas great passion was caring for her pets and the welfare of wild animals. Per her wishes she will be cremated and her ashes scattered with those of the many pets she has loved throughout the years. At her request, no services will be held.
