Born April 22, 1927 Tucson, AZDied at his home in Mill Creek on 28 October 2008.JP grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He attended boarding school from the age of 6, first at Mount St. Michael"s in the Bronx and then at the Mercersberg Academy in Pa.He was 17 when he joined the Navy and he served at the end of WWII and later in the Korean War.His love of aviation led him to study aero engineering at Parks College, Univ. of St Louis. Employed by Republic Aviation, he spent two years in Turkey accompanied by his young family. In 1959 he joined the Boeing Co and moved to Seattle. His Boeing career was spent mainly in Field Service and included several domestic assignments followed by postings overseas in Iraq, Iran, Libya, Cameroon, France and Portugal. He had a special talent for getting along with the airline personnel in these countries and always picked up enough of the language to communicate well.On retirement he enjoyed playing golf at Mill Creek Country Club and was an active member of St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Bothell and the Knights of Columbus.He is survived by his loving wife Sue, his six children, Patrick, Mary (Pat), Buk, Therese (Dan), Bernedette and Sean (Suzey), 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.Funeral service at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Wednesday 5 November at 11 am.No flowers but donations to Hospice of Snohomish County, 2731 Wetmore Ave, Suite 500, Everett, WA 98201.
